We are looking for a

Product Marketing Specialist

to join our Marketing team at Vantaa.

As a Product Marketing Specialist your main responsibilities are to work with the Head of Product Marketing to ensure that new products are developed consistent with Suunto’s brand positioning and reflect the voice of the consumer. You help create the marketing toolkit for new product launches, and develop key brand and product assets to inspire and connect with consumers. This role:
  • Supports the Head of Product Marketing to develop best-in-class Go-to-Market (GTM) toolkit that are practical and easily executable by local marketing teams, ensuring implementation difficulties and regional needs are taken into account during toolkit development.
  • Supports the creative process to turn new product concepts into assets that inspire and connect with consumers, building brand equity and creating product demand. Manages the Suunto Material Bank, including delivery of assets and easy access for markets.
  • Works together with Design and Product Comms on packaging executions. Independently project manages smaller initiatives (line extensions, accessory development etc.) or brand partnership projects.
  • Supports the Head of Product Marketing in maintaining the brand equity guidelines that will drive brand curiosity, relevance, consideration and loyalty. Works with Consumer Insights to translate consumer needs into brand-building ideas.
 
In this role your main internal interfaces would be the headquarter Marketing teams, local Marketing teams, Product Development, Design team, Commercial and Sales managers, and the Instore Excellence team. External interfaces would be creative agencies, production agencies, and of course, our consumers.

What we expect from the candidate

You already have Brand/Product Management experience, preferably at least 2-3 years in an FMCG environment. Sports brand and/or consumer electronics experience are also a plus. You have the ability think of the bigger picture, yet also pay attention to detail and enjoy rolling up your sleeves and making things happen. You are hungry to learn more and advance your career, but are a team player and have a positive mind-set towards your work and people around you. You ideally have experience working in an international matrix organization, and at least a bachelor’s degree in marketing/business administration. Fluent English is needed to perform the role.
