We are looking for a skilled and passionate Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team in Vantaa.

As a Social Media Manager, you will own the strategic planning and daily operations of Suunto’s social media channels, with a key role in shaping the Suunto brand identity through consumer engagement. Your role involves building and growing an engaged digital community by inspiring consumers and brand ambassadors, creating and curating engaging content, and planning and executing campaigns through owned and earned digital medias. Responsibility areas

In this position, your overall focus is on managing our key social media channels, an important touchpoint for our creative content covering both outdoor and dive. You will be key person in creating the content calendar in collaboration with the content manager and event/sponsorship manager and curating engaging content across our owned and earned channels to drive brand awareness, relevance and loyalty. You will also identify and manage relationships with key influencers, set the direction for influencer network management and ensure brand is positioned positively and consumer engagement is optimized. On top, you will maintain our Social Media dashboard to track and analyse content performance and use analytics tools to optimize strategy, creative, delivery.

Key activities for the role are:
 
  • Responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day management of Suunto's social channels with the intent of improving Suunto brand awareness, consideration and loyalty. Specifically:
    • Publish posts as per global content calendar in owned social channels, following up to drive engagement
    • Track and communicate Social Media sentiment internally, and filter the relevant signals out of the noise
    • Make sure Suunto social media channels used are set up in an optimal way to ensure great consumer experience
  • Create and manage the global editorial calendar for all social media channels. Collaborate with content managers to create high-impact global social media content (photos and video) that builds the Suunto brand, guided by consumer behavior and digital metrics. Generate ideas for social media executions to complement marketing campaigns. Actively watches trends to quickly react to pop-culture events.
  • Coordinate and align social media content plan with local GTM community managers based on proactive two-way communication with local marketing teams. Acts as a pivotal point to ensuring and enabling local marketing plan execution in accordance with global strategies.
  • Identifies and manages relationships with key influencers, and sets direction for influencer network management in local markets. Continually follows-up to ensure brand is positioned positively and consumer engagement is optimized.
  • Be an expert. Stays up-to-date on social media trends, the competitive landscape, platform updates and tools.
  • Maintains Social Media dashboard to track and analyze content performance. Uses analytics tools to optimize strategy, creative, delivery
 
In this role your main internal interfaces would be the headquarter Marketing teams, Go-To-Market Marketing teams, Consumer Care organization, Suunto E-commerce team and Amer Sports Center of Excellence. External interfaces would be creative agencies, content creation partners, ambassadors and influencers and of course, our consumers.
 
What we expect from the candidate
 
  • Experience in consumer-facing digital marketing, including social media strategy development.
  • Proven experience building and engaging a social community, including hands-on experience managing online platforms.
  • Branded business experience and/or influencer relations a plus
 
You have passion for growing a global community of Suunto fans and become relevant to new consumers through delivery of world-class content. You have proven experience in consumer-facing digital marketing, building and engaging a passionate social community, ideally that span multiple countries, social media strategy development and hands-on experience managing online platforms. You have strong and demonstrated abilities working with and managing a network of key influencers. You possess strong and demonstrated knowledge of using social channels to promote a global brand and have proven abilities to use tools and social media dashboards to analyze the content performance. Work experience in an international matrix organization a plus. Top proficiency in English and Finnish are needed to perform the role. You have the ability think of the bigger picture yet also pay attention to detail. You have a positive growth mind-set towards your work and people around you, yet are not afraid of driving change to make things more efficient.
